March 7 — Clinton Baptist Church, 10 Spring Street, will host the Bob Jones University Music Ministry Team at 6pm. Come and enjoy familiar hymns and gospel songs as well as a message from God's Word. FMI call 426-2211.
March 13 — Do you struggle with habits, hang-ups or addictions? Come to 'Celebrate Recovery' at Christ Church, 1900 Congress Street, Portland from 6-9pm and hear Lisa Gallant Seal give testimony through her music of God's gateway to freedom. FMI call 207-775-1900.
March 14 — The New England Bible College presents "Threats to the Church" at their 5th Annual Faculty Conference. The event will take place at First Baptist Church, 879 Sawyer Street, South Portland from 6:00 - 8:45pm. Speakers will include: Rev. Bob Emerich, Peter Hasbrouck and Joshua Libby. March 14 — South Gardiner Baptist Church, Route 24 in Gardiner, will host the Bob Jones University Music Ministry Team as they present music, as well as a brief message from the Word of God. The service begins at 10:45am and is free. FMI call 582-7807 or 582-3751.
March 17 — The Central Maine Christian Academy, 390 Main Street, Lewiston will have an Open House and Science Fair from 1:30 - 2:30pm. CMCS is an independent, non-denominational school offering full day preschool and kindergarten as well as grades 1-12. FMI call 207-777-0007. (Snow day the 18th)
March 19 — After suffering the loss of their home to fire the Pittston community would like to host a Benefit Supper for the McNeill Family at the Pittston School Cafeteria from 5-7pm. It will include Spaghetti, salad, rolls, drinks and dessert. A basket raffle will also be available. March 27 - 28 — First Baptist Church, 360 Canco Road, Portland will perform "A Living Last Supper", which is a dramatic portrayal of the life, times and last days of Christ on earth. Orchestrated music will enhance this biblical account. Two performances: Saturday @ 7pm and Sunday evening at 6pm. Admission is free. FMI call 773-3123.

April 9 - 11 — Hope Community Bible Church will host its Annual Bible Conference featuring Michael Hajj and the Arabic Bible Outreach Ministry. Friday evening will begin at 7pm with 'Understanding Islam'; Saturday at 6pm with 'Teachings & Practices of Islam' and Sunday at 11am-'Examining Islam' & 6pm 'Reaching Islam'. April 24 — A region-wide symposium on 'The Emergent Church' , coordinated by the AIIA Institute (a national Christian apologetics organization based in Monson, ME.) will be held at The First Evangelical Free Church in Westbrook from 1:00 - 4:30pm. The Keynote speaker Bob DeWaay, a Pastor and author from Minneapolis, Mn. will lecture on the history, influence and danger of this line of thinking.
